CMC-Zimbabwe offers members opportunities to study and attain internationally recognized consulting qualifications and to become a Certified Management Consultant (CMC). The Institute also periodically organizes workshops, seminars and conferences for its members.
Membership of CMC-Zimbabwe is open to all persons, firms, companies, organisations and associations directly engaged in consulting or providing business advice. The Institute is comprised of corporate and individual members as follows:
Any person, who has an interest in the profession, wishes to be informed about or supports the profession and signs the code of conduct, may become an Affiliate. Affiliate membership is also open to undergraduates who plan to make a career in consulting.
A graduate with less than three years management consulting experience or not a graduate with less than eight years management consulting experience may qualify as an Associate. Members of the academic profession and individuals who provide internal consulting until such time as they can demonstrate that they have the equivalent of three years management consulting experience, at which time they may be classified as Member.
A graduate with three years management consulting experience may be graded as a Member. If an applicant does not possess a degree but has eight years management experience and is working full time as a management consultant, they may be accepted as a Member.
A Certified Management Consultant must comply with the internationally accepted competency standards which guarantee reciprocity between member nations that cover most parts of the world. Member are entitled to use the certification letters �CMC�
Fellows are entitled to use the letters FCMC after their name. The Fellow Certified Management Consultant (FCMC) designation is a special recognition for those who have made significant contributions to clients, to the Institute, to the profession, and to society at large. In addition, the achievements in their careers or in the community have earned them distinction and brought honour to the consulting profession. Nomination submissions are per FCMC Guidelines and include credible testimonial information from peers, clients, and community representatives
Corporate member, at least one person from the firm must be a Full Member. Other corporate categories include accredited consulting practice firms (ACP Firm) audited and show that the firms and all their consultants meet competency and ethical standards of practice; certified management consultant firms (CMC Firm) � consulting firms focused on excellence in consulting provision and accredited management consultancy course providers (AMCC Accredited Providers).
