Background

The Association of Zimbabwe Consultants was founded in May 1992 to provide a forum for consultants to meet and promote the profession. The Association was converted and formally registered as an Institute in 2013 as Zimbabwe Institute of Consulting (ZNIC) in terms of section 26 of the Companies Act (Chapter 24.03).

Objectives

To promote, disseminate and deliver management consulting knowledge and information, including related disciplines.
To promote the attainment, by its members, of credible, recognized and sought-after management consulting qualifications as well as capacity building activities.
To register members of the Institute, support and safeguard their mutual interests and generally superintend over the members.
To offer a platform for management consultants to engage in dialogue that advance the interest of the profession.
To represent the views of members to relevant government of Zimbabwe authorities and other bodies outside Zimbabwe on matters affecting their business.
To advocate for visibility in the market place, the competencies and service offerings of its members thus facilitating greater access to resources and market share.

Namrod Gonyora .

Namrod Gonyora is a management consultant with more than 26 years’ experience in corporate governance, enterprise risk management, internal auditing and information technology and systems. He has an MSc in Audit & Consultancy from Birmingham City University (UK), CRMA (Certification in Risk Management Assurance) from global IIA and QiCA (Qualification in Computer Auditing from the IIA UK & Ireland. He is a founder member of the Institute of Internal Auditors of Zimbabwe and its past Chairman of the IIA Board Nomination Committee. Is currently a ZNIC Board member as well as a member of the global International Council of Management Consulting Institutes’ (ICMCI) Professional Standards Committee. He is the Managing Consultant for Gonglow Consultancy and Academy. Is a former Chief Audit Executive for Old Mutual Central Africa (OMCA) that comprised Zimbabwe, Malawi and Kenya operations; is past Assistant General Manager (Information Technology) and Corporate Systems Development Accountant for Old Mutual Zimbabwe; and is past Chief Internal Auditor and Accountant for the Cold Storage Commission. He has executive, auditing, advisory and consultancy financial services, parastatal and industrial sectors experience in Zimbabwe, Malawi, Kenya and the UK. Is also a Module Writer on Internal Auditing, Information Systems Auditing and Management Consultancy for degree and professional qualification programmes.

Ellen Makoni –

Ms Ellen Makoni is a holder of a BSc Honours Degree in Polics and Administraon (UZ), a Master’s Degree in Business Administraon (ZOU), a Diploma in Labour Law, Conciliaon and Arbitraon (UZ), IPMZ Training Diploma, IPMZ Labour Relaons Diploma, IPMZ Higher Naonal Diploma in Human Resources Management, Master of Science in Human Resources Management (dissertaon pending), with Midlands State University and she is pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Business Studies with Binary University (Malaysia).Ms Makoni is a seasoned Human Resources praconer, with over 30 years working experience. She has worked for both private and public sectors. In the Private Sector she worked for Africa University, Women’s University in Africa, PG Industries, BDO Zimbabwe Chartered Accountants. In the Public she has worked for the Public Service Commission, Parliament of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Open University, Naonal Indigenisaon and Economic Empowerment Board and Empowerbank Limited. Ms Makoni has served on the CMED Board, Women Savings and Credit Union and Online Security as a Non-Execuve Board Member. She is a Council Member for Zimbabwe Naonal Instute of Consultants (ZNIC). She is currently employed by Empowerbank Limited as Head, Human Resources. She is also the Managing Director for Empower H Capital (Pvt) Ltd, a 5rm which was established in 2017.
Eric Dumisani Zinyengerere – CMC Zimbabwe Recent Past President
Eric Dumisani Zinyengere works as a Coach, Consultant and Catalyst whose purpose in life is to help people and businesses unlock and exploit their full potential. Eric is a certified management consultant (CMC) and trainer running his own company TEAM Consulting based in Zimbabwe and operating in the Southern African Region. In this context Eric has spent the last five years working as National Country Coach to the Government of Zimbabwe supporting reforms around the “Doing Business” environment and has also supported other related reform programs across the public sector. Eric is also involved in various entrepreneurial ventures outside of consultancy to diversify his business portfolio. Outside of his professional work he is past ZIMCHE Council Member, seats on various Associations and Christian Ministry boards, has been a lecturer in Leadership and Management at diploma and Masters level and also works with various organisations in training Christian leaders at both the local and international level with a focus on stewardship, goal setting and youth development. Eric holds a BSc in Applied Mathematics an MSc in Strategic Management and an MA in Leadership and Management.
Mrs Mildred Chiri - Treasurer
Mildred Chiri is a Certified Management Consultant. She is a member of ZNIC. She holds a Masters in Business Administration from the National University of Science and Technology. Obtained the Public Sector Professional Accountant qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ). Is a Registered Public Accountant (RPAcc) with the Public Accountants and Auditors Board (PAAB). Is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). Is a fellow of the Corporate Governance and Accountancy Institute in Zimbabwe (FCGI). Is also a holder of Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree. Mildred has extensive experience in auditing the public sector. She has undertaken performance, financial and compliance audits in central government, parastatals, local authorities and government companies. She is the former Auditor-General. Has immense experience in corporate governance, strategic planning and policy direction, budgeting and financial management, public relations and stakeholder management, quality control and assurance and risk management.
Dr Gregory Shumbambiri – Secretary
Dr. Gregory Shumbambiri holds a PhD in Business Management from Bindura University of Science Education and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He earned his MBA from Nottingham Trent University (UK) and completed a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Financial Management from the University of South Africa (UNISA). Additionally, he has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the Catholic University of Zimbabwe, a Diploma in Banking from the Institute of Bankers Zimbabwe (IOBZ), a Diploma in Religious Studies from the University of Zimbabwe, and a Diploma in Theology from Harare Theological College. In his academic role, Dr. Shumbambiri lectures part-time in Church Administration & Governance and Pastoral Theology subjects. His expertise and research interests encompass Transformational Leadership, Succession Planning, Family Businesses, and SME's Management. With over 25 years of professional experience, Dr. Shumbambiri has held various positions, including Internal Auditor, Finance Advisor, General Manager, and Accountant, in both non-governmental organizations, public and private sector entities. He currently serves as the Secretary for the Zimbabwe National Institute of Consulting.
Dout Jolani - EXCO Member Digitisation
Holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Computer Science from National University of Science and Technology, the Gold standard in IT Security; Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Prince 2 Project Management Practitioner and a Master degree in Management from University of Zimbabwe. He has vast experience in IT working for NCR Zimbabwe (1997-98) and then other organisations where he held various positions namely IT Systems administrator for Cairns Foods, Country IT Coordinator at Plan International, Senior IT and Security Administrator for RioTinto at Murowa Diamonds and IT Security Manager of Premier finance Group. Dout is also a regular speaker on IT Security for local presentations. Dout is the founder of ICTS Consultants offering IT and IT Security Consultancy through his company and has been working in this capacity since 2010. In that capacity he has worked for a Project in Rwanda and locally he has undertaken IT Security projects and consultancy for various corporate entities.
