The Association of Zimbabwe Consultants was founded in May 1992 to provide a forum for consultants to meet and promote the profession. The Association was converted and formally registered as an Institute in 2013 as Zimbabwe Institute of Consulting (ZNIC) in terms of section 26 of the Companies Act (Chapter 24.03).

Ellen Makoni –
Ms Ellen Makoni is a holder of a BSc Honours Degree in Polics and Administraon (UZ), a Master’s Degree in Business Administraon (ZOU), a Diploma in Labour Law, Conciliaon and Arbitraon (UZ), IPMZ Training Diploma, IPMZ Labour Relaons Diploma, IPMZ Higher Naonal Diploma in Human Resources Management, Master of Science in Human Resources Management (dissertaon pending), with Midlands State University and she is pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Business Studies with Binary University (Malaysia).Ms Makoni is a seasoned Human Resources praconer, with over 30 years working experience. She has worked for both private and public sectors. In the Private Sector she worked for Africa University, Women’s University in Africa, PG Industries, BDO Zimbabwe Chartered Accountants. In the Public she has worked for the Public Service Commission, Parliament of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Open University, Naonal Indigenisaon and Economic Empowerment Board and Empowerbank Limited. Ms Makoni has served on the CMED Board, Women Savings and Credit Union and Online Security as a Non-Execuve Board Member. She is a Council Member for Zimbabwe Naonal Instute of Consultants (ZNIC). She is currently employed by Empowerbank Limited as Head, Human Resources. She is also the Managing Director for Empower H Capital (Pvt) Ltd, a 5rm which was established in 2017.
